Admin Panel Overview: Navigating Your Dashboard
After successfully logging into PolyCMS, you will be greeted by the Admin Panel. This is the command center for your entire website. We have designed it to be intuitive, blazing fast, and easy on the eyes.
This guide will give you a quick tour of the main sections and features available in your dashboard.
1. The Main Navigation Sidebar
On the left side of your screen is the main navigation sidebar. This is where you access all the core management features.

Dashboard: Gives you a high-level overview of your site's performance, including recent orders, content statistics, and quick actions.

Content: This section houses everything related to publishing. Here you can manage your Posts (blog articles), Pages (static content like 'About Us'), and their respective Categories and Tags.

E-Commerce: If you are running a store, this is your hub. Manage Products, view Orders, set up Coupons, and handle Customers.

Media: The central library for all your uploaded images, videos, and documents.

Appearance: Customize how your site looks. Here you can switch Themes, build navigation Menus, and arrange Widgets.

Settings: The control room for system-wide configurations, including permalinks, general site details, payment gateways, and shipping zones.
2. The Topbar Menu
Running across the top of your screen is the Topbar. This menu provides quick access to common actions and is always visible, even when you are browsing the public-facing side of your website (if you are logged in as an administrator).

Quick Add: Use the
+ Newbutton to instantly create a new post, page, product, or user from anywhere in the admin panel. -
View Site: Click your site's name in the top left corner to jump straight to the live frontend of your website.

Profile Menu: Located in the top right, this menu lets you edit your personal profile, change your password, and securely log out.
3. Dark Mode Support
Working late? PolyCMS includes full native Dark Mode support to reduce eye strain.
To toggle Dark Mode:

Click on your profile picture or name in the top right corner of the Topbar.

Click the Theme toggle.

You can choose between Light, Dark, or System (which automatically matches your computer's settings).
4. Keyboard Shortcuts (Hotkeys)
For power users, PolyCMS supports global keyboard shortcuts to speed up your workflow.
- Save Content: While editing any Post, Page, or Product, simply press
Ctrl + S(Windows/Linux) orCmd + S(Mac) to save your progress instantly. The system will automatically prevent duplicate saves.
